Lurve karate. I was a provincial champion and all that jazz, but I got really beat up by a black belt, and lost a lot of my confidence in sparring. So now I stick to traditional, for the most part, unless my Sensei makes me fight. Sparring is nuts anyway. "Let's put two people in a ring, and make them fight, and whoever gets hit the least wins." The girls always end up in tears, either because they're hurt or because of nerves.
